Join us for Pastor Jim’s weekly Discipleship class, every Monday morning from 11-12:30 at the church office, 1855 Sullivan Lane Suite 150, Sparks. In this class we seek to become disciple-makers, fulfilling the Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all I commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20a). How do we make disciples? By becoming obedient disciples ourselves and then learning to share the Good News with others. The class focuses on thoroughly understanding the Gospel and practicing sharing it in a concise, logical sequence:

  • All have sinned, everyone: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23).
  • The penalty for sin and our need for a Savior: “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23a).
  • What Jesus did because of our sin: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8).
  • How we can receive Christ’s gift of salvation: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

This is an open class that can be joined at any time. Come and learn to share the gospel and be disciple makers!
